Hello My Name Is...
Ms. Elizabeth Johnson
I was born and raised in a small suburb of Toledo, Ohio. I moved to Charleston in 2013.
After high school, I attended Ohio University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Moderate
to Severe Special Education with a minor in Hearing and Speech Communications Disorders.
I taught 6th grade ELA and Math my first year at Morningside. This is my second year teaching at Morningside and in the Charleston County School District, and I absolutely love it! When I am not teaching I enjoy cooking, going to the beach, working as the events coordinator at Skyzone, exploring downtown Charleston and spending time with my family and friends. I am thrilled to be starting my second year teaching the self-contained special education class at the ARMS Academy at Morningside Middle School! We will be working with the Language! and TransMath programs. We will continue to improve our social skills and plan for transition!
